Of ALL the night light options I've tried, this has been the best so far. We are two adults, no children, no old people. However, I get up at least once a night, often more. never had a good dream. So. I like having a very small amount of light to guide my path. We recently moved. In our old house, the bathroom had a GFCI outlet with a very small light. There was more than enough light. Well, this bathroom is second to none. Not sure about the difference? In short, I wanted a super dark night light. I had a night light that used these bulbs and I also removed the transparent ones and replaced them with these. Still too bright. So I've since taped painter's tape to the cover surrounding the bulb. It's much better, reads less vividly, looks awful, but it doesn't give me a feeling of energy at various times during my late-night adventures around the house.
