I thought the stopper was better off staying in place and not sliding on the tiled floor. I wanted to use it away from the wall so my door wouldn't hit the piece of furniture, but the stopper slipped easier than I expected. Doesn't slip on carpet. I've included a picture of the underside of the stopper to show the handle. Obviously it won't work that way, but it's only displayed for the image. Using a primer works great and keeps the doorknob from damaging the wall. It's easy enough to slide off to vacuum/mop and then put back in place. The stopper is larger than I expected, but now that I see how it works it makes sense. The appearance of the stopper compared to the doorknob helps describe the size. I definitely don't regret my purchase! Much better than the annoying feather shaking. I rely heavily on consumer reviews before buying online. Hopefully this helps you with your purchasing decision.
