I needed to connect Wi-Fi to a club down the street from my house, too far for a traditional Wi-Fi connection but less than the 1km range advertised for this product. Our intended use is simply to monitor a series of security cameras around our pool. It is too expensive to provide a separate Internet connection in a building, and it is also impossible to provide a wired connection between two points. In the past I've used professional point-to-point connections that cost thousands of dollars to provide services in remote locations, but this is the first time I've come across an inexpensive solution that can be effective for home use could. I had a few issues: I wanted to connect each end to POE (which powers the device with the ethernet cable) to avoid the need for separate power cords, so I had to buy a power injector for one end while using a POE switch on the receiving side. For security reasons, I installed a separate WiFi router at a remote location to connect the cameras, as I didn't want to expose my personal network to such traffic. Once the infrastructure was in place, installing the bridge was relatively easy using the installation guide provided. I will not describe the installation process in detail, since it is superfluous. For my location and needs, this was a powerful solution that exceeded my expectations. I am very pleased with the results and in fact the one off cost of maintaining this solution was minimal. For those who need to deploy a remote WiFi connection, this is a great solution. I would definitely order the product again.
