The color is more like a yellow blonde, like a bleached blonde, than platinum as described. There was a chemical smell from the packaging, not bad, but I wouldn't install it without washing it first. The texture is better after washing. In fact, before I washed my hair, I thought it might be synthetic hair. I love the wave after washing and air drying because my hair dries naturally so it goes well with it. However, my hair is platinum now, so I can't wear that now. It also seems to have fallen apart, watch the video after 1 hand wash, no blow dry, no heat, this is a wash straight out of the box. I would give it 1 out of 5 stars for its quality, it seems to be falling apart after 1 wash, the chemical smell and the color is not platinum but overall a 3 after wash. Hair coloring strand by strand was perfect and easy to use I would recommend this product. You can see what it looks like at the end of my video. See my strand stand review for more details. I really should have returned this product but I loved the strand on the stand so much I thought washing it would help. The texture of the hair was boastful when washed and smelled just like my shampoo which was great. As mentioned above, it's not very good that the cams come apart after 1 wash. So overall I give this hair 3 stars. Normal, would give 5 stars if color was platinum. I can sew and I can try to fix the look. I'm not sure if it's worth it if I can't wear my hair because of the color. Hope that helps. I recommend buying this brand of micro bead extensions strand by strand.
