Review on 🌬️ Nordic Pure 16x25x2M12 3 Pleated Air Filter for Optimal Conditioning by Alex Webster

I have previously used 3M Filtrete MPR 2200 and 2800 1 inch filters. When I switched to Nordic Pure MERV 13+ charcoal, I noticed that the charcoal had an impact on odors. I couldn't tell any difference when working with fine dust - my allergies were about the same and indoor dust exposure (both airborne and on surfaces) was about the same. Due to my desire to reduce odors, I was hoping that by switching from a 1" to a 2" filter at roughly the same MERV level, I would reduce the load on the oven fan. I found that the high quality 1 inch filter was quite clogged before it needed replacing, which significantly reduced airflow through my vents. And when my furnace fan failed, the HVAC technician pointed out that one factor might be that I wasn't changing it often enough (despite changing it monthly). It's not clear if replacing this filter helped with that, as it's still laden with dust and reduces the fan's ability to push air out (while characteristically curving outward) - but at least it costs a little less than 3M. Before purchasing this filter I looked through all the Nordic Pure options and found that MERV 13 is best recommended for use with a standard (low efficiency old) stove. I have this, I bought this. I checked my filter again this morning because I noticed stubborn odors. In fact, the old filter was covered in dust and slightly bent up. A few hours after the replacement, the house smelled fresh again. Please note that they are currently expensive here at Revain. The price here for me is listed as 74.03 and the "list price" is 89.95. On the Nordic Pure website they currently sell the same product for 51.09 and quote an RRP of 55.98. When I first bought them here, Revain sold them for around the suggested retail price.
