Nordic Pure Honeywell FC100A1037 Replacement Review

I thought I bought MERV 12 air cleaners as shown in the Revain product image. However, I received air filters without a MERV marking. The only thing that indicated it was a higher quality filter was a sticker on the SHIPPING BOX that said it was MERV 12. The filter element looks the same as the old Honeywell MERV 8 filters. BUYERS BEWARE of this seller and what AMAZON is selling!

I don't know NordicPure but the 20x25x4 size does not fit the Honeywell FC100A 20x25x4 filter housing. He is too thin and especially not big enough. Falls out of the nest. The 20x25x4 filters from Filtrete and of course the Honeywell filters fit perfectly. After measuring the hole in the Honeywell filter housing and looking at the exact dimensions of the NordicPure 20x25x5 filter I decided to give it a try and indeed it fits perfectly. Good filters but not for me. Just learned something new today. I have a CleanComfort AM11-2025-5. Although I thought they would fit, I found that they didn't really fit. These photos pretty much tell you everything you need to know. Dirty Purple is the old Filtrete for comparison. The filters came from the factory in beautiful branded packaging. Pretty bizarre. I've been using this 20x25x5 Mei 12 filter for 4 years now. I recently received a box with a damaged filter. Upon closer inspection, I found that the filter material was not properly adhering to the sidewalls of the filter. See photos. I checked the 2nd filter in the box which was not damaged. Today 5/25/19 I did a 6 month review and replacement of the attic air filters for our two HVAC units. Replaced first, no problem. I went to the second and noticed that on the second filter the filter material was moving away from the long side. The adhesive did not hold the white filter media in place. I was a little concerned ordering these to replace my Honeywell FC100A1037 filters. There was one reviewer who said these filters didn't fit his device despite claiming they were a replacement for the FC100A1037, while another reviewer said they fitted his device perfectly.
