Today 5/25/19 I did a 6 month review and replacement of the attic air filters for our two HVAC units. Replaced first, no problem. I went to the second and noticed that on the second filter the filter material was moving away from the long side. The adhesive did not hold the white filter media in place. This left a straight passage around the collapsed filter media measuring approximately 6 inches by 2 inches. This explains the extra dust I've noticed in this part of the house over the past 2+ months. They seem to have skimped on the glue since this (and other filters) went down the production line. Of the many filter types and brands I have used over 5 decades (50 years), this was the first failure. Where's the gorilla and his glue when you need it?!?!?!?
