I chose this holder over several other options I saw because the brushed metal and slimmer design cost me a few bucks more. I'm happy to report that it was even better than I expected. I attached it to the underside of a varnished wooden shelf and it immediately stuck like glue. My initial fear that the flipped end might be at too sharp an angle to effortlessly place on a paper towel was dead wrong - as easy as peeling pears. The only advice I can give if you decide to buy this product (other than try it!) is to spend a little more than the 2.5 seconds I spent deciding where to go plug it in because once it's stuck, it's there for eternity.
