This is exactly what you need. In modesty (cheap!) I decided to make them out of: cut off pieces of V-belt, cut off pieces of hot glue, cut off pieces of some kind of black rubber rod. Each time, the do-it-yourself driver's side window repair would take several months, and I'd take the door apart again and talk nasty things about those pesky bumpers. There are people who use ball bearings instead, but I've never tried it. I suspect that the mechanism could crack. So I bought it for economic reasons. They are solid, really solid, and had to be hammered in with a nylon hammer. BUT the result was day and night compared to cut V-belts. These plugs were tougher than anything I've tried, making the window more responsive. The small chopped debris doesn't get stuck on the gearbox, so the window seems faster too. In general, it's a good idea to use them instead of a homemade solution.
