Worked great. Look for instructions online before you begin.

My kit has everything you need. But be sure to read the online guide first, because there are some procedures that aren't intuitive, like drilling out rivets. It took about two hours from start to finish, with a few errors. If I had to make another one now, it would probably take 60-90 minutes instead. The kit was complete and the window goes up and down as advertised.

Excellent quality, easier to install than I thought

Excellent quality product and my 2004 Crown Vic glass works like new. It was easy to install - the only difficulty was getting the old one out. Specifically by knocking out the centers of some factory rivets. To do this, a large steel hammer had to hit the nail punch with careful blows in order not to break your fingers. There are several tutorial videos on YouTube showing how to do this job in a resume or grand marquis.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Great product - easier than expected to install

Removing the old one was the hardest part - I had to knock out the center of the large rivets and then drill through. Was relatively easy. The package comes with the required rivets, but a large riveting tool is required. There is only minimal adjustment possible, but the window came up perfectly - well, at least until I noticed that the seal line in the tint is 1/4" shorter on the leading edge. Not enough to work with if it doesn't come on Problem But what needs to be checked before…

  • Great for me

Online reviews super helpful

Excellent product. I read several reviews and learned a lot of tips and tricks - summary below. 1) Ford uses rivets, not screws. Using a small hammer and punch, knock out the centers of the rivets and (slowly) drill out the rest with a 3/8-inch drill bit. extremely patient when knocking out rivets on window panes. it took a lot of little tapping to get them out. 3) many YouTube videos about Mercury Grand Marquis/Crown Victoria - follow these 4) several reviewers have told you nylon/nylon nuts…

The ESC and motor assembly work well. .

ESC and motor seem to work fine. If you own a 2011 Grand Marquis, you probably already know that its repair will be unlike anyone else's. You will need 8: 1/4"×1/2" screws and 2: 1/4"×3/4" screws (to attach the glass to the bracket) and 10: 1/4" nuts I had to drill out 3 rivets on the old motor mount, 2 rivets on the underside of the old window regulator mount, 3 rivets on the blue metal plate holding the door latch bar and 2 rivets on the window itself, I couldn't remove those blue metal plate

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Can't remember

This was a proactive replacement for a sick regulator. When I was done, it was the difference between day and night. My driver's window goes up and down quickly and doesn't snag in cold weather. Note to prospective buyers: as it turns out, nuts and bolts are not included. So make sure you have two 1/4 x 1" screws for the window mount and two 1/4" x .75" screws for the bottom of the regulator, two 1/4" diameter x .75" for governor motor ports that don't have an adjacent lip hanging from the door

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

Why do you need rivets? My electric window was mounted with rivets. The same goes for the engine, door handle and window mounts. Two rivets for the controller, three for the motor, two for the window, two for the hardware and three for the door handle. These are 12 large rivets (1/4 inch or 6.4mm). These rivets are designed for a very large gun that unfortunately will not fit through the holes in the door. Also, the rivets used to attach the window to the regulator require an extended rivet…

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Very expensive

The controller/motor assembly is good and working properly. I hope this lasts a while as it was a bit of a hassle to install with the Ford tech and all the rivets ('06 Mercury Grand Marquis). My Dorman regulator had enough rivets for the regulator and window, but not enough for the other rivets I had to drill out to complete the job. Anyway, I didn't have a rivet gun big enough to use 1/4" rivets, so I bought nylock nuts and bolts to replace any rivets I had drilled out. It took about 8-10 of…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation

Improved design direct replacement (motor not repairable)

direct replacement. Superior quality. Revised design from OEM. Some important notes: 1. Mine came without fittings. I used a Dorman 702-013 Regulator Mounting Kit (rivets)2. When fully assembled, the motor is permanently attached and the 3 screw holes on the motor will not line up with the holes in the door. In other words, once you've riveted the motor mount, you can't just remove the motor. Engine bolts also no longer line up with access holes. Don't worry.3. The instructions say a 1/8" drill

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different
