direct replacement. Superior quality. Revised design from OEM. Some important notes: 1. Mine came without fittings. I used a Dorman 702-013 Regulator Mounting Kit (rivets)2. When fully assembled, the motor is permanently attached and the 3 screw holes on the motor will not line up with the holes in the door. In other words, once you've riveted the motor mount, you can't just remove the motor. Engine bolts also no longer line up with access holes. Don't worry.3. The instructions say a 1/8" drill bit and a 3/8" drill bit, but I had to use a 1/4" or larger drill bit to remove the rivets. 4. Putting masking tape around the rivets when removing them helps avoid scratches on the paintwork removing the waterproofing was a pain as it was held in place with glue use a new sealant glue to reinstall not in the guide 7. In general the guide was a good place to start but we are not very accurate. You will need a long rivet gun for one of the window rivet points. My door had a square hole about 1 x 1" to insert the rivet gun's rivet up to that point. It was very tight. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish.
