Review on πŸš— Dorman 741-664 Front Driver Side Power Window Motor Regulator Assembly for Ford/Mercury Models by Bhanu Hays

Get a bigger rivet gun and get extra rivets. Otherwise, the workshop costs €440.

Why do you need rivets? My electric window was mounted with rivets. The same goes for the engine, door handle and window mounts. Two rivets for the controller, three for the motor, two for the window, two for the hardware and three for the door handle. These are 12 large rivets (1/4 inch or 6.4mm). These rivets are designed for a very large gun that unfortunately will not fit through the holes in the door. Also, the rivets used to attach the window to the regulator require an extended rivet body bolt, which was not included in this kit. The number of shorter shank rivets supplied was 8 pieces. I had to install screws to make up for the lack of rivets. Why loosen the rivets that hold the door handle in place? The only hole large enough for the rivet gun to reach the front window opening. Why reinforcement? Otherwise the regulator will not pull out. Why an engine? If the window is stuck in the closed position you will need to pull the motor out just enough to cut the top cable to bring the window down far enough to drill out the rivets holding the window to the adjuster. Therefore, get all the necessary tools, extra rivets, a hacksaw or bolt cutters, a power drill, various drill bits before you start when using this kit. Much luck.
