Not really meant to be worn

This is a feel good lamp. It's got all the colors you'd expect, and the app lets you do some fancy things like: B. Pulse to the music and cycle through various preset or custom patterns. But Licht has at least two fatal flaws, and I just don't like one more flaw. First, it uses a proprietary charger. This is a 1 amp 12 volt DC charger with a tiny plug. In 2021, most peripherals will use USB-C or Micro-USB if they're really cheap. So if you want to charge this "portable" flashlight, you can't use any of the existing USB chargers that are probably scattered around your house, and if you've ever taken this portable flashlight on a trip, you'll have to do it yourself remember the brand charger. In my opinion this is not fully portable. Second, light is quickly discharged when it is at rest. I left it on the shelf twice, turned it off via the app and died the next day. Unacceptable for a portable device. Third, and this is probably not a universal preference, this smart device requires another app on my phone, which I find unnecessary. I'd rather use Alexa or Google Home for control than a proprietary app. (It has a cloud adapter for ecosystems like this, but that's too many moving parts for a lamp.) If this device were permanently plugged in and not advertised as a portable lamp, I would understand better. As it is, so it is.
