We should be in pair #7. They are excellent, durable, soft, warm. All! We keep buying them for our family members as shower gifts or as spares in case we arrive and forget/dirty our pair. We also bought larger sizes as the baby is growing. We live in a colder climate and the baby was born in the winter month. The boots were essential to keep him warm for the first few months and then again when fall came. You can ask your child to wear thermal socks, regular socks or barefoot with booties. The baby shoes really protect the legs when the baby starts to crawl. As for the mobile item, our kid wore these ankle boots while standing and walking. Below is some grip. Ideally I would not advise a child to wear them while walking or standing as the booties can loosen and cause them to slip. The boots are also not waterproof. Treat them like warm slippers!
