Claims to have an updated chip. The printer does not agree, writes"Feed Problem". HP has ensured that cartridges from other manufacturers cannot be used with their update. I had to remove the new cartridge chip and replace it with the old HP cartridge chip for the cartridge to work with the printer. The print quality is okay. However, you, of course, have to live with the message "Toner low" and simply monitor the print quality to determine when the cartridge needs to be changed again. Not sure if I would buy again or just shell out double the price for an HP cartridge.
