I use this to connect to headless and display connected servers that need troubleshooting. It has many inputs, so it's good for testing different ports. The buttons are overly sensitive, but this is a solid, compact tool that I'm very happy with. When I'm not using it for testing, I leave it connected to a home theater system that requires an HDMI output device when the projector is unplugged.
