The only thing this bag was supposed to do, it didn't. At least not in our case. We drove from Chicago to Florida so it's quite a long trip, 1300 miles. Both times it rained heavily for a long time and most of our stuff in the bag got wet. My only explanation (aside from the fact that the material isn't fully waterproof) is that the flap that goes over the zipper and is held in place by Velcro straps was inflated by the wind. If that's the reason, the manufacturer needs to update those Velcro straps with something better. We had water in from below and from above so I don't know what really happened. The bag was returned with no problems.
