Review on Osprey Packs Duplex Travel Backpack by Gordon Turman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic travel and everyday backpack

I use the everyday backpack as my everyday work backpack. The laptop compartment is quite large (I have a 15 inch laptop) and the daypack is surprisingly large with room for many documents, a lunch bag, a thermos for coffee and space for gym clothes (including running shoes). The smaller zippered area is well designed with multiple inner pockets and pen holders. The simple look of the daypack suits my office. One trick I've used when I don't want the hipbelt to dangle is to simply clip it into the loop on the back of the daypack, this pulls it all the way in and out. I used the combo duffel bag for 4 days of my wedding weekend. I managed to get two suits (trousers, jacket, shirt, tie, belt, socks), a good pair of shoes, and four days of normal clothes (shorts, jeans, shirts, three days of training gear, underwear, socks). . with toiletries packed in a gym bag. Honestly, I was amazed at how much it could fit in this piece and found the slimming straps very useful. The bag easily attaches to a daypack and looks like a single bag. Despite being in a hazy carry-on/personal area, I was never asked and found it very easy to remove my duffel bag on the plane so I could tuck my daypack under my seat (I had all my electronics stowed in a daypack). , I am very satisfied with this combination of daypack and duffel bag.
