My APK100 ran 24/7 for 18 months, then one side stopped airflow. As a temporary measure I put everything on the remaining side (which is a powerful pump) but after a few weeks that side failed too. Fortunately, the APK100 is for maintenance purposes; The screws holding it together even screw into brass inserts rather than plastic. This kit is easy to install and hard to go wrong; Just make sure the o-rings stay in their grooves when you put the new housings in. 10 minutes have passed and the pump is working like new again. I don't mind the occasional expense as these parts are constantly subjected to vibration and sooner or later they wear out (otherwise nothing moves in the pump so I expect a long service life). Unlike most things, I'm happy to own something that will last rather than going to landfill.
