Tetra Whisper Repair Kit for 60 and 100 Air Pump - Durable and Efficient Solution Review

I was better off buying a brand new pump as this pump is under warranty and these parts are no longer under warranty and there is nothing else to replace, so the warranty is worthless. Not VERY SATISFIED with this company's customer service, will look for something better next time.

Very easy to install. New filter included. (Wish I could just find a replacement filter) My air pump hasn't been very quiet since the day I bought it. I bought the kit because the airflow was no longer good. A membrane has ruptured. Installing new parts fixed the airflow issue as well as the noise issue. The pump is now almost silent. I think the screws holding the parts weren't tight enough from the factory.

First, it is very easy to install. Simply place the o-rings in the grooves in the plastic housing and then simply pull out the old diaphragm assemblies and slide in the new one. Just make sure the o-rings stay in place and don't pop out when you put the new case in place. Your pump is literally like new. Expensive, I'd just buy a new air pump if I could get it for 60/100, but I have an APK100 so it costs money to replace the diaphragm case.

My APK 100 air pump stopped working a month after the warranty expired. I was frustrated for a full minute (MINUTE) until I took the block apart and it was very hot. My APK100 ran 24/7 for 18 months, then one side stopped airflow. As a temporary measure I put everything on the remaining side (which is a powerful pump) but after a few weeks that side failed too. Fantastic. I have a 30-60 whisper pump and it fits a 60/100 kit. I've photographed what they look like and also what exactly the problem is when your pump stops working. This round black rubber drum breaks after a while and that's why all this mess is because it stops blowing air, as you can see in my drawing. I don't know why they don't just sell the black rubber drum separately because it bolts onto that silver piece and the round rubber thing actually just snaps onto the white square plastic
