The picture is pretty good. It was easy to install, just plug and play. First of all, the microphone works well, even too well. It picks up everything in the room and causes problems on the other end. When I tried video chatting with my daughter she got a lot of feedback and stuff. Luckily she's quite techy and was able to set it up to use headphones instead, but it was difficult to get the camera mic and headphone mic to work properly and/or together and/or individually, or whatever they do she can hear me Since I'm only going to use the camera to call her, it doesn't matter. But maybe for those who don't have a tech-savvy daughter to help them. It's good that I now have a microphone because Cortana makes it easy to set timers for cooking and other things. Different, but in that respect it doesn't fit on my monitor. I have a big one and she's quite fat. So it's not really the camera. I have a small shelf on it and my speaker sits there and I was able to put the mount straight on top of the camera and just put it on the shelf under the speaker. In general, everything works, the price is not bad, but there can be some buts.
