It's big enough to let it fly a bit and the two transparent sides were perfect for photography. The smaller one was good for the caterpillars as they grew. Due to bad weather I had to keep 4 butterflies almost a week before release. It was just right for the place and easy enough to get everyone to feed them. I used it to breed 17 eggs and release caterpillars. I will be buying another set next year in hopes of doubling the number of releases. The first habitat I bought I used for the eggs and SMALL caterpillars, moving them up as they grew and when they were almost full size to form a pupa I transferred them into the large one. So I had 3 in total and it worked great
