Four star thermometer. Does exactly what it's supposed to, but the cables are too short. I added extra wire (soldered and used heat shrink tubing for insulation) to the power connector and thermocouple pins. If you need to extend the thermocouple leads, use at least 18 gauge wire. Using smaller wire will affect accuracy since the thermocouple is actually a temperature dependent variable resistor. Too thin a wire increases resistance and hit accuracy. I used wire from the bell (size 18) and soldered the cables) - important! I understand there is an adjustment inside, but I didn't have to make an adjustment. I used an infrared thermometer and it read 66.9 degrees Fahrenheit and the gauges (I used two of them) read 67 degrees. No customization required. If you are handy and know how to solder, buy them. If not, make sure you get by with very short leads.
