Description of 🌡️ UCTRONICS Digital Temperature Meter: 0-167°F Range, Blue LED Display with NTC Thermistor Sensor

This 0-167°F Fahrenheit Digital Temperature Meter is easy to setup and read. It is design with reverse polarity protection, positive and negative reversed will not burn, but the screen is blank. Temperature measuring range: 0-167°F Fahrenheit. Temperature sensor using MF55 type of NTC thermistor, epoxy potting, can be used in water, NOTE: the water temperature should not exceed 167 ° F. Operating voltage: 4.5-28V. Wiring is simple, then the red is for positive, and black for negative.

Great little gauge for troubleshooting solar water heaters

Had some problems with my 12 year old(!) solar water heater, sensor and circulation pump must be replaced. I wasn't sure about the controls and since the tank and roof sensors were 10k NTC I bought this gauge for troubleshooting. Could have put it in a small case with switches etc, but instead just "tape" a 9v battery (to weatherproof the outside coax) to the bottom, bought some cables with connectors (https://www .amazon.com/gp/product/B076JFFDWN ) and connected to the sensor wires. Very Fast…

Pros
  • Operating voltage: 4.5-28V Wiring is easy then red for positive and black for negative
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Easy calibration Good for testing, measuring and checking

Measure the ambient temperature on my motorcycle with this thermometer. Used an LCD aquarium thermometer but it didn't last long and was unreadable at night. When delivered, this thermometer read 2 degrees Fahrenheit. As others have described you can calibrate the thermometer which is a really great feature. Disconnect the circuit board on the back of the device. On the inside of the circuit board you just removed, there is a small Phillips head screw on the top right. The blue arrow points to…

  • Temperature and humidity

  • Inconsiderate

good body, no instructions, can be recalibrated

good value for money, inaccurate value may be caused by vibration or moisture. Could you wash the thermometer board with anhydrous alcohol, dry it and recalibrate it? The calibration procedure is as follows: Step 1: Find a standard thermometer and wrap the probe of the standard thermometer in the probe of the inaccurate thermometer for five minutes. Step 2: Adjust the micro-adjustable resistor on the thermometer board with a small Phillips screw, make sure the displayed value is the same as the

Great thermometer, short wires!

Four star thermometer. Does exactly what it's supposed to, but the cables are too short. I added extra wire (soldered and used heat shrink tubing for insulation) to the power connector and thermocouple pins. If you need to extend the thermocouple leads, use at least 18 gauge wire. Using smaller wire will affect accuracy since the thermocouple is actually a temperature dependent variable resistor. Too thin a wire increases resistance and hit accuracy. I used wire from the bell (size 18) and…
