Review on Mount Tilt Wall Mount Bracket by Jacki Beauchene

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great affordable large TV mount

This is the third of these mounts I've bought and with good reason. There are many "affordable" (read CHEAP) mounts that are just as cheap. They're cheap in every way, have flimsy metal, many parts that aren't rigid enough to hold the TV securely to the wall, and poor/poor quality hardware. However, I think this mount strikes a very good balance between affordable price and good quality. I gave 4 stars because the hardware isn't the best, but it works. The mount itself is a strong and rigid solid block of steel. It's wide enough to hit 3 wall studs as long as they are 16" or less centered. In most cases, attaching to two studs is more than enough, but why not use 3 if possible? A 70 inch Sharp LED (around 75-80 pounds) all with no issues on these mounts. You have enough tilt adjustment to get the right viewing angle. Large cutouts in the center of the mount provide a large enough opening for a power and low voltage cable outlet. Let's get back to the equipment. I'll say it does the job, but I wouldn't mind going to a hardware store and replacing it. The snap screws are ok but the washers are a bit smaller than these and I would NEVER use those cheap wall anchors they offer. If you have to use wall anchors because you can't hit the material then get the EZ Anchor Twist and Castles. They actually screw into the drywall and then you screw in the dowel with the hardware. The weight ratings on them are much better and they actually stay in the wall. When you think your TV fell off the wall because you used unnecessary anchors. Overall I am very happy with this mount and would of course buy it more than once (3 so far).
