I've wanted a waffle iron for a long time. I am very happy with it. I've read many positive reviews about it, including one from a blogger who had a great buttermilk waffle recipe. You should know that this will stand upright while baking and then when you open it the waffle will be on its side and you will lift it with tongs. Cooks nice and evenly. It may take several times to figure out what color your waffles like, but on average 4 to 5 minutes. Excellent waffle maker!
