I have had great success with this product. I have been using another L-Lysine product for years and switched to this brand a few months ago. It's very good value for money and works the same as other L-lysine products I've used for years. The value is exceptional. My vet recommended L-lysine for my cat and that's what I use it for. He's got a type of feline herpes and it's affecting his eyes. If he has lightning, his eyes will be very watery and caked. They also swell a lot. As long as I'm using an L-lysine supplement, his eyes stay clear 90-95% of the time. I'm so glad I found this brand that lasts so much longer and costs a lot less than the ones I've used before. My cat is very picky and always eats this. I give him the recommended dose on his wet food. It doesn't come with a scoop so I calculated the dose and found that it's almost the same as another brand I've used. I just salvaged a small plastic spoon from another container. The color and consistency of this product can best be described as looking like washing powder. The other brand was the same. It also has a fishy smell and as I mentioned my cat swallows it. I definitely recommend this product for this purpose.
