I understand that this is a universal replacement filter for my Whirlpool fridge, but the quality of the product is inexcusable. There were no installation instructions on the box and when I tried to go to their website to find the instructions I found that their website printed on the product box was not valid. I tried to search google and the search results took me to a spam page. Eventually I found the instructions on Revain's product page and we were able to install the filter. We followed the directions and poured 3 gallons of water from the filter. I then used the TDS monitor to check the water quality. Our tap water showed a concentration of 221 ppm and the water from the fridge - 219 ppm! There was absolutely no difference between tap water and "filtered" water from the fridge! We also have a reverse osmosis water filter under the sink that measures 24ppm so I know our tap water can be improved. However, this special filter does not fulfill this task! Stay away!
