Review on Transcend StoreJet 25CK3 2.5” SATA III SSD/HDD Enclosure Kit with USB 3.1 Gen 1, Grey by Paul Freeman

This case is a little pricey but the reviews were good so I gave it a try. The case itself is pretty premium and your hard drive looks pretty well protected in it, but the connection is the problem. I can plug it straight into USB 2 and yes it's compatible (but there's a slower speed warning, but that's to be expected). It also works when plugged "directly" into a USB 3 port, but "does not work when plugged into a USB 3 hub or USB 3 extension cable. The power button also turns the device on , but not out.I'm keeping it for the protection factor, but it's not ideal if you need to plug it in any way other than straight into the port.
