My TV is mounted on a stand in the middle of the wall. Therefore, this unit will be mounted on the second 16" wall stud from the left. The shelving system itself looks great. Wiring is another matter. About 5 feet of extra cord just hangs around and collects dust. Each cable connects to the TV with its own cable. The additional ones just hang there. The tangle of cables, all different lengths and colors, going up and down the wall just looks awful. If I just had to do it all over again, I would attach the TV wall mount and the shelf to the same wall and leave all those cables on the floor.
