Shelf installs easily and securely holds cable box and Blu-ray player. However, once the wall shelf is installed and the connected AV equipment is placed on the shelves, it is not possible to hide the cables by routing them through the ducts. You still get a visible tangle of wires. Any attempt to route cables after the shelf is installed will only break the flimsy plastic combs. My TV is mounted on a stand in the middle of the wall. Therefore, this unit will be mounted on the second 16" wall stud from the left. The shelving system itself looks great. The product comes with enough options to install this shelf on ANY wall: drywall, wood and cement! It was impressive and unexpected. The instructions were pretty simple; Not everything was explained 100% but easy enough to understand. The quality was better than expected for the price; The shelves are heavy and durable.
