I have a bulging lumbar disc and a good pillow while sleeping is extra important to me. This pillow offered pretty good lumbar support. It was comfortable enough for me to fall asleep, and when I wake up my back and hips feel a lot better than usual. I am a bit overweight, so side sleeping with this is not as comfortable (My belly gets in the way a bit) but not impossible. While sleeping on my back it's perfect.
