The first thing that struck me about this bulb is that it's really very smart. The simplicity of the design but the variety of features make this bulb great. The pear itself is small and rounded, slightly larger than a golf ball. The most ideal use, I think, would be a shielded lamp in a small space. The remote is about the size of a business card, although much thicker, and weighs a dime. It works with the three primary colors of light, red, green, and blue, and it also offers a neutral colorless setting, but I wouldn't say you can use a colorless setting for reading, even at the highest incandescent setting. However, this lightbulb has it all and even something when it comes to entertainment or a romantic evening. At the top left of the remote control are two white brightness adjustment buttons, each color of which has four levels. These buttons also set the frequency of the four effect functions: Flash, Strobe, Fade, and Fade. All four of these settings are programmed to cycle through all colors, so there's no control over the effect color scheme. This is certainly not a disadvantage, however, as each setting offers its own unique experience that changes the atmosphere. Wallet-friendly, easy-to-use, and a quick way to add a lot of flair to your home's color palette.
