I pulled out my ruler and quickly measured out my cereal bowls, thinking that would be cool, they were a bit bigger than what I already have, and pressed to order. My husband wanted large soup bowls and they seemed to fit. No, they are VERY big. These are straight serving bowls. Does the descriptor contain grain? Do you eat a whole packet of cereal at once? Then no, it's not for cereal. Gave four stars because they are good quality bowls and I will be using them for serving bowls but the description is a bit off.
