Does exactly what I was hoping for
I have a small recording studio and wanted to listen to a music album on DVD in 5.1 surround format. I already have speakers and amplifiers and didn't want to invest in a full home theater system. This device does exactly what I need. It decodes the DVD player's digital audio output into six analog signals, which I then route to six powered speakers, that were at my fingertips. This is the first time I've heard volumetric mixes. What a treat! Contrary to another review I saw here,
