I just got it today so can't really comment on the battery life and sleep but it connected right away and started right away. No breaks to download software or anything else. The low-profile USB was a little tight to plug in the first time, but it'll live there for at least a few months, so I don't mind. Runs easily on the battery from my old mouse that broke - love the easy access to the on/off button on the bottom. It fits my hand very well, large, smooth material texture and quiet whisper. Ironically, the scroll button is louder than the missing "click" sound (only when scrolling quickly over long "distances", otherwise quiet), but both sounds are still quieter than my old mouse. Even though this mouse will only last me a year, I've already fallen in love with it and will definitely buy another one or recommend it to anyone looking for a no-click mouse. I immediately liked it so much that I couldn't help but go and leave a review.
