So happy Clear Genius is here! It has always been difficult not to use bottled water because of the waste involved. Can't stand the hard shell filters used on other products. It's more environmentally friendly and cheaper for me than installing a water filtration system in my house. I'm glad someone finally came up with this idea to make the world a lot less plastic. The only thing I would like to change is that it is very difficult to pull the filter out of the canister once it has been used up. I'm not sure how you would fix that. I will continue to use them. 6/19/18 Well, I don't like her anymore. Something has changed. In the latest 3 pack I bought I threw away the first one thinking it was defective but I have the same problem with the second one I received. The water smells like mold and doesn't taste good. If the 3rd pod is the same I won't be using them again. I hope it's just a bad batch because the concept is good and less plastic is good. Like others, I still find it very difficult to get the pod hole out of the mount. I rip it open at the top, which seems inefficient to get it out of its plastic mount. and replaced by 3 new ones. They suggested I put the water in the fridge - ok I don't always want my water to be cold but I did (tea takes longer to heat up). The first was ok, it had the metallic taste that others have mentioned but there was no smell of mold. I planted the 2nd on September 1st and yesterday I noticed a bright green at the bottom of the can. I took it apart and wiped it off, and what was on the paper towel was what was on the sides and bottom of the jar. I wonder how long my family has been drinking water with this thing in a jug. I always wash my pot. This was not the case with other filters. I won't buy anymore. Lovrd idea for this but something is wrong with the product.
