I spent 3-5 days researching this lavalier mic set, reading reviews and weighing the cost of other mic sets before finally purchasing this one. What can I say, the quality of the mic speaks for itself and it says more than the reviews could say. The sound quality is DYNAMIC and the microphones pick up the voice of the person wearing the microphone + background music that can be played. The sound is crisp and clear. The microphone set is ready to use, just connect the AUX cable to your smartphone/tablet, open the audio recording app and start recording! I haven't tested this on my PC, but I have no reason to believe it won't be that easy to set up. The cables and mics feel solid in my hands and carry a good amount of weight. The wires themselves are a bit flimsy (in my opinion) and I would prefer them to be flat/smooth wires as I've had an issue in the past with this class/variety of wires tangling and/or shorting easily . within 90 days. I'll be using this mic set as an instrument on a podcast I'm hosting 2-3 times a week, so I won't be using it as headphones every day. I'll be sure to post an update in 60 days (it's been 30 days since I bought this set) to give you an update on how the cables are performing with regular, semi-constant use. The microphone set comes with 2 microphones. , 1 additional windscreen included for two microphones, splitter, 4 to 3 pin adapter, auxiliary cable extension in case you need more material and carrying case. The splitter and the carrying case are the two things I appreciate the most. I use the case to store and also transport my microphone kit. I think it's a great accessory because it keeps all the cables, parts and such in one central place. The separator that came with the kit is often sold separately for $5-$20 and I'm so thankful I didn't have to buy it after the fact. This kit offers a lot of value for someone like me: I wanted a comprehensive package that would allow me to start my podcast/blog for a low one-time start-up fee. This won't be the last set of mics I'll ever buy, but the price is reasonable for all you get and I think it's a great tool for someone just starting out in blogging/blogging/podcasting , or just for anyone looking for a lavalier microphone at a great price.
