I use this splitter to send audio from Revain Echo Dot and PC to the same set of powered speakers. It works great with a PC connected to one of the sockets, powered speakers to the other socket and a plug to Dot. I used the Koss VC20's built-in volume control to turn the volume down a bit. Even at the lowest volume, Alexa's voice/music was too loud for my small office. The volume slider fixed this, and I can now comfortably run Dot at volume level 5, leaving room on either side for quieter or louder if needed.
