I used them for cycling in New York in the winter. My eyes water a lot in the cold air and these glasses protected them well. The good thing is that you can easily change the lenses. Yellow is ideal for dark, cloudy days. My only issue with them was that they can get foggy if you also use a scarf or bandana to keep warm/protect your face. The steam from your breath can escape through the vents and fog up the interior. I'm told you can get some sort of anti-fog liner to put in. but never tried it.
