I've tried both HDMI and RCA and everything works great. I have three ex-fat hard drives (two 32GB and one 1TB) and it records great and looks good. I've only tested Retropie and n64 for writing so far, but I'm sure my Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, PS2-P4 and Xbox will work too! The file sizes aren't that big either. I don't record with HDMI but I did a 6 minute recording from my N64 for my YouTube channel and as it's in 720 format (which is the best you can get with RCA) it's not more than 1GB, like my last VCC. .It's also portable, which means I'm not limited to one room in my house. Or if I'm moving over to visit some friends, I can bring this and we can record a wicked session of any game.
