I bought this to hold my iMac (27 inch) with VESA mount. I don't need all the fancy features to move it, and my desk is up against a wall and there's no room for a fancy mount, so that seems to be the bill. The mount itself feels solid and heavy enough. I really B. the mounting mechanism of the monitor. Overall good quality but some details are a bit off. My table is upright. The lip is about 1 cm high and less than 1 cm deep. The neck is more than wide enough to fit in the mount, but the pressure plate (the disk-like thing that sits on the underside of the table) is too big. It hit the hem and I had to trim it down a bit before it fit. I also had to add a few pieces of cardboard to make up for both the short screw (like many others) and the fact that it wasn't quite right after I managed to get it over the edge. I also inserted a small piece of cardboard between the ket mount and the tabletop to avoid damaging the wood as it is not soft. The iMac is quite heavy and the hinge isn't strong enough to hold it straight unless you tighten it with pliers. There is also a slight play in this part, which makes the problem worse: even when the screw is tightened to the maximum, the entire head moves a few millimeters. Again fixed with a small piece of cardboard. I used the box it came in for all these little hacks :) Finally, the treble knob feels a bit flimsy. Let's see how he holds up. Overall it's good enough for the price, but I wouldn't buy it again if I could find the same non-hinged monitor straight mount from a better brand. Note if you have the same setup with a large monitor and a desk that isn't too deep: with the iMac mount and rear mount, it stands about 15/20 cm from the back of the desk. I wish it was a little further away from me. Ideally I want it to be flush with the back of the table. Spring.
