This OTDR is great for reading footage. At this price I wouldn't hesitate to buy a couple as I don't need four 15k otdrs. We use them in urban areas to read recordings quickly, and they're pretty damn accurate and easy to carry around. The device is a good size but is quite choppy. The port covers are falling off and the test software is kind of stupid. I ordered mine with SC connectors and it came SC to OTDR but FC to VFL. The charging cable is junk and does not fit well in the charging port. As I said, I didn't buy it as a main OTDR, but it's handy to have a cheap version that is accurate and has VFL. The quality is clearly not at the highest level, but I wasn't expecting that. If you're looking for slightly cheaper hardware to run open and test runs, this device will fit. The point is, you get what you pay for. They could change that thing up a bit and I'd say it was great, but it's just ok. It serves its purpose. Let's see how durable it will be over time.
