I bought this for my son because his backpack wasn't very good at holding tall cups. This compact mug is perfect! It is double vacuum sealed and insulated so it stays nice and cool for a long time. Holds 12 0z and has a nice rubber grip on the lid as well as a finger loop. We didn't have any failures with it. The retractable spout is ideal for younger children and is easy to use. It is also very easy to clean as it consists of only 3 parts: lid, bottle and removable plastic straw. He loves the color red and it goes perfectly with his backpack!
