The monitor burns into the screen very easily. Very distracting

The monitor was delivered in good condition. It was easy to set up. The Dell P2219H monitor initially performed well as a secondary monitor in my office for several months. A few months ago I noticed that it seemed like it was starting to "burn in". At first I thought I accidentally left it on. Since then I have set the screensaver to "Blank Screen" after 20 minutes and switch it off with the power button every evening. It got progressively worse to the point where I was having visible afterimages from my Word and Excel screens (with readable text and MS Office tapes) after the monitor was on for just 20-30 minutes. It's getting more and more annoying and distracting from my work. The image of my desktop showing "Burn-In" is a plain gray desktop background with minimized windows.
