I've used the awful $3 Ace Stamped Comb before and this comb is noticeably heavier in the hand. It's also a pretty nice thing if you really care. The action through my beard (which is the main application) is smooth. I was amazed at how smooth it was the first time I used it compared to the Walmart Ace comb I used. After about a week or so I've been using it, it's caught on maybe 2 times and never pulled out the hair (which wasn't loose anyway) like the Ace comb did. There is one downside - the Kent logo with gold letters. disappears very quickly - only a week has passed! Water is not suitable for this. I personally don't care, but it's worth deducting a star. Otherwise, it's on my wish list of "pleasant things". I have 2 in case I lose one. Definitely worth $15.
