Our house has a deep well that supplies the house with water. The water often contains fine silt. I use the AP110 filter for the house. The AP110 filter retains particles down to 5 microns. I currently use a Lafiucy 5 micron coconut shell activated carbon water filter which also has a 5 micron capacity. The two filters are about the same size, so they are interchangeable. I measured the flow rate for two filters. The prices are the same. Lafiucy filters are approximately $6.40 each and AP110 filters are $10.50 each, according to the latest prices. The next test is how long the carbon filter lasts compared to the AP110.
