Review on EVISTR 16Gb Digital Voice Reorder by Oscar Kaufman

Received this device from EVISTR to review and compare to the previously received voice recorder. The first thing that caught my eye was the improvement in user instructions. The instructions for the other recorder were in a small manual that was difficult to read and a not very clear translation from Chinese I think. The instruction for this recorder is on a large sheet with clear illustrations. You can still tell they're translated, but they're much easier to understand. The recorder itself is small and makes a solid impression. The controls are simple and easy to use. If you wanted to hide it to make a record, it would be easy to do so. I tried it in my shirt pocket and it worked fine. The sound quality of the voice recordings is very good. When playing back from the recorder, not as much music is recorded via the line-in function as one would expect from such a small device. The included in-ear headphones were a big improvement and I think a better set would have sounded even better. The supplied lapel microphone is convenient to use. Activated voice recording worked well, and at the medium sensitivity level, background noise didn't seem to work. If necessary, you can add a TF card (microSD) to increase the storage. The entries are identified by date and time and cannot be renamed on the device. They can simply be transferred to a computer and renamed there. It is possible to transfer music files in MP3 format to the device and they will be named. This doesn't seem to be a feature that many people will use. Overall it was a definite improvement over the L53 recorder - it's smaller, easier to use, has more internal storage and the ability to add microSD storage.
