Far outperforms even heavy duty zippers
We bought these for camping use in fridges. Wherever normal zippers went (mostly missing parts), we were satisfied that they closed about 95% of the time. When we first got them we tested some of them in a bowl in the fridge - they worked well; at the camp we tested again with less than 100% compression - operator error maybe? Either way, it's the best we've found for sealing radiators. Of course they have the same problems as all Ziplocs. Gasket orientation for ease of use (and a secure seal). We will try to lubricate the seals as an additional water barrier. Time will tell if they last - we hope they do!
