I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S8 from Amazon on November 5th, 2022. I've had nothing but trouble with it since I couldn't find a case with a bulletproof glass screen, one that would adhere to the entire front face instead of just the sides. The battery started having issues in August 2022, discharging quickly and shutting off on its own between 15 and 25% of the way charged. Under warranty, we swapped out the battery. Fast charging was no longer an option after a few days. According to Samsung, the charging connector oxidized because moisture got inside it. There will be no warranty. The price tag for the repairs is $4,400. If the phone has an IP68 rating, it can survive being submerged in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. Never submerged, but washed under running water to remove dust. Submerging your phone in water will disable fast charging, and you will have only yourself to blame. Because of the refusal to honor the warranty, I want to file a lawsuit.
